Dr Adrian Whittle BSc (Hons) PGCE PGDip PhD MIEnvSci
Principal Environmental Consultant. Adrian graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in 1990 where he read chemistry. Following this, he undertook postdgraduate research in vehicular pollution abatement where he worked in collaboration with Johnson Matthey Plc. On completion of his postgraduate research, Adrian held a lectureship in environmental management specialising in pollution control and environmental legislation at Farnborough College of Technology (University of Surrey) until 2002. Since co-founding Apple Environmental, he has been directly involved in a wide range of environmental projects and training. Adrian holds a number of professional qualifications including a BOHS P402 certificate in asbestos surveying and bulk sampling. He is a member of The Institution of Environmental Sciences.
Lillie Woods BSc (Hons) DIC MSc
Environmental Consultant. Lillie joined the Apple Environmental team in 2007 after completing her degree in geology at Imperial College London. She went on to achieve a Masters degree in hydrology also from Imperial College, where her research specialised in colloidally facilitated contaminant transport. Lillie's expertise lies in groundwater, flood risk assessment and contaminated land investigations. She is also a member of the Institution of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
Lynne McCandlish BSc (Hons) DIS PGCert MRSC
Environmental Consultant. Lynne studied for an HND in environmental protection specialising in pollution control at Farnborough College of Technology and went on to study environmental science at the University of Portsmouth. Following this she was part of a research team on an EU vehicular emissions project at the University of Hertfordshire working in collaboration with the Transport Research Laboratory. Lynne has since achieved a postgraduate qualification in water and environmental engineering from the University of Surrey. In addition to this, she also has over 5 years experience working in environmental laboratories. She has been a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry since 2003.
Robin Barrington DipSM MIIRM
Health and Safety Advisor. Robin has 30 years experience in the health and safety sector. For 20 of these he has been a Group HSE manager and advisor and for 10 years as a Trade Union Safety Advisor. He has experience in manufacturing, retail, education and industry including a lectureship at Eastleigh College on the NEBOSH Certificate course. He holds the NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety Management and the British Safety Council Diploma in Health and Safety Management. He is a long standing member of IOSH.
