Permit applications
Environmental permits combined pollution prevention and control (PPC) and waste management licensing (WML) with the introduction of the Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR) in 2008. The scope of the environmental permitting regulations extended to include the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009 and the Mining and Waste Directive. If you held a PPC permit or a WML prior to April 2008, this automatically became an Environmental Permit when the regulations were introduced.
